Meet the Team

Davinia - Founding and Managing Director

Baking is where this whole concept started and what I describe as saving my life. After having my daughter and losing my job, I went through an extended period of 'baby blues' and my kitchen is where I found solace and where I began to redefine my happy! DSY Socials, is an extension of the food offering and was born from my love for hosting and bringing people together. Food and socialising continues to bring happiness to many and I want to play my part in tackling social isolation and food deprivation while making the experience accessible and meaningful. I have over 18 years’ experience of youth and community outreach and engagement work, and I have been shaped by my own personal experiences. I have learned so much along the way, while at the same time having to unlearn just as much. I want to encourage all to explore, redefine and celebrate self in all its entities, through safe spaces and events.

Cara - Director & Catering Operations.

I have worked in the youth and community sector for the past 20 years supporting, running and managing a variety of different youth & community settings.

My passion for food has always been a thing for as long as I can remember, which led me to the path of catering especially though COVID-19, this is when I took on the role as head of Catering Operations. I took on this role as I enjoy the role of catering an I have an interest in diet and nutrition.  I was able to dig deeper into this interest when I volunteered with the healthy living platform supporting and running cultural cook along sessions in children's centers in Lambeth. Volunteering with healthy living platform has given me the opportunity to become a food ambassador where I cook in the community.

The aim of my role is to create and educate on healthy nutritious meals in the community, I will be running a catering service to ensure the CIC is sustainable.

Damien - Director, Driver & Equipment Coordinator

Elaine - Director & General Event Support.

In the palm of my hands laid a secret recipe that was not visible to my natural eyes, but whenever it was made, it brought forth great delight. In 2021, Scotties Rum Punch was birthed.

Find me in the corner, with a smile on my face always willing to be of great support
